Fontaine des Magnarelles is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of Provence, in the famous southern Rhône valley and a short drive from Avignon. The 18th-century Provençal country house, constructed with traditional stone, has five (5) spacious guest bedrooms. The owners look forward to welcoming you to their country house for a quiet and relaxing stay.

The Guest Rooms:

The guest rooms all have private en-suite bathrooms. The decor in each room is different, and each has all the comforts required for your stay. Here are the room descriptions:

• Romance in Arles (1st floor) – suitable for two people, there is a queen-sized bed.
• Rêverie de Roussillon (1st floor) – suitable for two people, there is a queen-sized bed.
• Sérénité du Ventoux (1st floor) – suitable for two people and has a king bed or configured as two twin beds.
• Suite des Magnarelles (1st floor) – a large suite suitable for 2-3 people, with 1 room with a queen-size bed with relaxation mattresses and a separate living room with a single bed.
• Claire Fontaine (ground floor) – a more extensive suite with space for 2-3 people, a queen-sized bed, and a single bed for a child. This room has a kitchenette, a washing machine, and a private terrace with outdoor furniture.

Breakfast is served on the terrace under the pergola. The generous spread made with local products gives you an excellent start to the day to discover our region’s riches.

For dinners, according to a calendar decided weekly, the owners propose large seasonal plates or boards with local vegetable preparations, charcuterie, cheese and dessert. All the food offerings are seasonal, local, tasty, and Provencal!

The reception room includes a library, a large dining table, and a kitchenette, is available if you wish to eat lunch or dinner on-site. In addition, there is a selection of local wines available for purchase to accompany your meals.

All five (5) guest rooms are air-conditioned. In addition, wifi access is available in the guest rooms, reception room and terrace.

The Property:

The B&B is situated in the middle of a quiet property and is an ideal holiday base for exploring Provence. The opportunities for day trips from Fontaine des Magnarelles are endless, from vineyards to the Mediterranean coastline. Wine lovers may choose to explore the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. You may be drawn to the fascinating old centre of Avignon and the magnificent Palais des Papes. Explore the perched villages of the Luberon or go shopping for antiques in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The peaceful grounds invite you to relax when you return from exploring. Options include lounging by the swimming pool (8 m x 4 m, depth 1.60 m). The guest house also offers a wellness massage service in the Zen Lounge upon request.

Ideal for:
Couples, honeymooners, and families with children over twelve (12) years old.

For groups of six (6) people or three (3) rooms, the owners wish to discuss bookings with the visitors before the reservation, the house rules and the tranquillity and relaxation of the location.

Meetings like working seminars and training sessions, renting the five (5) rooms, the reception room with a screen and a projector, and the areas reserved for guests are possible.

Notes:
Five (5) bedrooms have a maximum capacity of 10 adults and two (2) children.
Children older than twelve(12) years are welcome.
Smoking is allowed outside but not inside.
Pets are not allowed, except in the ground floor room, for small dogs, on-demand only.
An access code secures the perimeter of the establishment.
On-site free parking is available in the closed park with an access code. There is also a recharging service for electric cars available.

A perfect Provençal holiday: It was a very great pleasure to stay at La Fontaine des Magnerelles. Chantal and Jean-Francois were exceptional hosts, very engaging and always enthusiastic to ensure you had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Both the breakfasts and the “Ardoise du terroir” were delicious, with locally sourced ingredients and everything was very fresh. They also had organic ready to go meals and local wines on site that you could enjoy without having to go out to a restaurant, if the desire to sit by the pool for the afternoon was too enticing. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay: Splendid facility in the vicinity of numerous must visit Provence sites.The hosting couple are so nice and going out of their way to let guests feel welcome. The facility is spotless and located in a gorgeous 220 years old house with a beautiful garden. Highly recommended ~ June 2023

Superbe séjour chez Chantal et Jean-françois: Idéalement situées aux portes d’Avignon et des villages perchés du Lubéron, les Chambres d’hôtes sont situées dans une magnifique bâtisse restaurée avec goût, dans un parc arboré avec piscine. Les chambres sont tout confort, il ne manque absolument rien. Chantal et Jean-François sont d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité extrême. A ne pas rater, un dîner sur la terrasse préparé par Jean-François, un vrai régal pour les papilles. Tous les mets sont préparés avec des produits locaux. Nous reviendrons nous faire choyer une troisième fois. Une adresse à recommander les yeux fermés. ~ July 2023
