Visit to Aix-en-Provence, City of a Thousand Fountains
As I have written previously, one of our favourite towns is Aix-en-Provence. The capital of Provence in the Middle Ages is about one hour and 15 minutes from our home in Sablet. Cousin Annick lives in a nearby village. One morning, a few months back, we headed there with our friends from Windsor to visit the historic center of Aix.
Aix-en-Provence is famous for its outdoor markets, shopping and beautiful people, and as the home of Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), who lived and did most of his work here.
