Le Beau Balcon is a one-bedroom holiday apartment on Rue Volti, a pedestrian street in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Located in the old town centre, the building is a short walk to everything; the charming Place de la Paix, the beach, and the waterfront quay. The 600-year-old building overlooks the bay and pedestrian-friendly Rue de May.
Le Beau Balcon has wonderful sea views, a small balcony and plenty of sunshine. Old-world style meets modern comfort, the décor is a bit bourgeois/Louis XVI in style, yet it plays bourgeois with a bit of fun and not too serious so you can relax and enjoy living in the space. The apartment has high ceilings and beautiful hand-made plaster moulding that might be 3-400 years old. The owners have collected crystal chandeliers for every room, including a unique Baccarat one in the main living room. Furnishings include a lovely collection of antiques mixed with brand-new pieces and original artwork from local artists who live in Villefranche.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed (160 x 200 cm) from Lit de France with freshly laundered white cotton linens, nightstands and reading lights. Just off the bedroom is the master bathroom with a soaking tub/shower combination, marble countertops and plenty of storage in the cabinets. A half bath in the hallway includes a toilet, sink, and utility closet.
The main living room has a sought-after view of the sea and the terracotta rooftops cascading to the sea. Cap Ferrat is in the distant view with Villa Rothschild lit up like an ornament at night. Two French doors lead out to the balcony with a dining table and chairs for two and folding stools to accommodate guests for an aperitif.
The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, gas stove (with one electric burner and an electric oven), microwave, dishwasher and beautiful granite countertops. The kitchen is very well equipped for someone who loves to cook, including sharp knives!
The owners strive to provide all the comforts of home with practical elements that travellers need. They have provided necessary modern amenities: washing machine, clothes drying line, ironing board, iron, central heating, hairdryer, and dishwasher. The apartment has no air conditioning; however, there are fans. With windows on both sides of the apartment and generally cool evenings, Le Beau Balcon is comfortable even in the height of summer.
Rue Volti is a pedestrian street in the village, named after a famous local artist. He was most famous for his sculptures, especially of women. An excellent collection of his work is displayed at the Volti museum in Villefranche’s citadel, which is worth a visit and just a 5-minute walk away.
Le Beau Balcon is just a short walk from the popular Plage des Marinieres, a sandy public beach. This beachfront is an excellent place for a stroll or a swim. The old town of Villefranche (all pedestrian) rises from the waterfront up the hillside to Place de la Paix, where village life unfolds.

What their guests say:
I have been renting Riviera Experience apartments over the past ten years mostly for monthly summer stays. Each apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and oh…those wonderful sea views! The owners are delightful, fun, and so helpful.
I especially enjoy swimming in the bay, enjoying a rose and lunch at the seaside La Voile Bleu, the beautiful walks along the coast, and taking the bus into Nice (so easy) for the day.
