Gourmet Bites near Saint Remy de Provence

I’m always on the lookout for interesting spots in the Alpilles, and I’ve recently found a new one! Les Gourmandises de To is an Epicerie Gourmande in the countryside between Saint Remy de Provence and Les Baux de Provence. I visited a couple of days ago after the market in Saint Remy, which was crazy busy. Instead of having a coffee and a biscuit in town, this is a more picturesque option. to see all the tempting photos.
Located on the northern side of the Alpilles, just minutes from St Remy, Les Gourmandises de To is family-run. Planted in the rich agricultural soil are fruit-bearing trees, including peaches, for sale by the caseload. But that’s not all!
As Ashley discovered, this lovely setting also offers gourmet bites to eat on-premises on the shaded terrace or take-away. Everything is fait maison (homemade), including sweet or savoury shortbread, fruit syrups and competes. Whether you drop in for a gourmet bite to eat or to pick up some treats, make sure to stop.

As the sun gracefully dips behind the Alpilles, the landscape is bathed in a gentle golden glow that dances across the grapevines, offering a prelude to an enchanting evening in Provence. This region’s luminous light, which has long captured the imaginations of celebrated artists, serves as a backdrop to the “Rosé Mule,” a tantalizing cocktail …

My wife and I live part of the year in St-Rémy-de-Provence, and one of our favourite restaurants for cozy dining is Le Marilyn. We always receive a warm welcome, the food is consistently good, and the dining room is one of the most charming around. Owner Chantal Büchner has been in the restaurant business since …

It may seem strange, but I am not a café au lait fan. However, a hot chocolate (chocolat chaud) in Paris with a beautiful pastry called an Ispahan – now that is a magical French experience. Pierre Hermé created the dessert for Ladurée, the finest purveyor of macarons in Paris (in my humble opinion). It …

Ashley was born and raised in Montréal, Canada. She has always been drawn to the history, way of life and beauty of Europe. Her feelings for Europe were reconfirmed while studying art in Florence, Italy. Ashley says that stone buildings, colourful shutters and terra cotta tile rooftops fill her dreams and now her days.
Ashley moved to Provence in 2014 with her partner Robin (he also shares her Francophile passions). They are in search of the French joie de vivre, which they find at every turn in the local markets and natural beauty of Provence. This couple are indulging in local olives and wine as the Provencal sunshine changes craggy rocks into things of beauty.
