Are you in need of some downtime in Provence? Located in the heart of the Luberon, La Bastide des Songes includes five (5) B&B guest rooms and a cottage (gîte). The one-time silkworm farm dating back to 1750 has been fully remodelled with modern comforts and Provencal flair, making it a terrific choice for holidays in the region.

The House:

Constructed around a central courtyard with a swimming pool, la Bastide des Songes is a quiet oasis shaded by a 300-year-old plane tree. The owners have created a peaceful setting for their five (5) bed and breakfast rooms and a holiday cottage. Knowing that travellers expect a certain level of luxury, all the rooms include the necessities: Wifi, TV, hairdryers, air conditioning and most of all, comfortable beds.

The bedroom names are a salute to the home’s past as an operational silkworm farm: Lace (Dentelle), Cotton Flower (Fleur de Coton), Burlap (Toile de Jute), Linen Veil (Voile de Lin) and Silk Thread (Fil de Soie). Each room is outfitted with your comfort in mind. Most rooms have queen-sized beds, although the Lace bedroom has a king-size bed. In addition, the Silk Thread room works well for a family as there are two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Ideally suited for a small family, the cottage can accommodate up to five (5) people.

The Property:

The old farmhouse and grounds have been modernized while maintaining an easy-living Provencal style. Surrounding a heated swimming pool, the ground-floor rooms have small terraces. There is a small kitchen for guests who wish to cook meals at la Bastide des Songes.

Robion is a mid-size village in the Luberon Valley between the more prominent centres – Cavaillon and Apt. This town is not on the typical tourist itinerary, making it a perfect choice for a holiday base. Many famous Luberon villages, such as Gordes, Bonnieux, Menerbes and Roussillon, are a quick drive from la Bastide des Songes. The magestic Alpilles with the towns, markets, vineyards and hilltop castle (Les Baux) are only 30 minutes away.

La Bastide des Songes can accommodate up to 25 people for a family reunion or gathering of close friends. In addition, the location is suitable for small business seminars.

Rates:
The rates vary depending on the room, time of the year, and availability. Discounts of 10% are available for stays of one week or longer.

Notes:

There is a jacuzzi and sauna for guests, and massages are available upon request.

The swimming pool is heated from May to September.

Privatizing the entire Bastide des Songes is possible, making it an excellent option for a large group or family reunion.
