Booking a Corporate Seminar in Provence our Recommended Locations

Holiday images of Provence saturate social media platforms. The region is a popular holiday destination for its lavender fields, market produce, historic sites, and cultural venues. With many daily international and regional plane and train arrivals, Provence should be a consideration for corporate gatherings: offsite meetings, seminars, reunions, incentive travel, and retreats.

We have gathered a list of five (5) locations we recommend for a get-away-from-the-office meeting. Many of these properties also have onsite accommodation, so after the meetings, your team can relax by the turquoise swimming pools or explore from “home base.”

Seminars at a Château in the Luberon

Located in the Luberon Valley near Apt, the Château de Mille wine estate accommodates groups of 20 to 200 people. It’s known that the Château dates from the 13th century, as it first appeared in the Avignon archives in 1238. The one-time summer residence of the Avignon popes was already a wine estate in that period. However, there is evidence that the Romans made wine well before that at Villa Milonum, as Apta Julia (now the town of Apt) was an essential settlement on the Via Domitia. What better place to focus on team building and generating ideas for business innovation?

There are three (3) rooms suitable for groups at Château de Mille with the following capacity:
Grande salle 80-200 people
Salle des archives 60-120 people
Salle Grand Luberon 20-40 people

While at Château de Mille, groups can enjoy various activities surrounding wine, such as vineyard and winery tours, tastings, and even blending workshops, at certain times of the year. Find out more about seminars at de Mille here. There are two gites (holiday apartments) onsite, Les Roches and Ventoux, that sleep six (6) and four (4), respectively.

“What companies love to do is have a corporate incentive half-day, including dinner. We recently had a super successful event for a fintech company (50 high achievers) with a full tour, tasting and food truck dinner.” ~ Constance Slaughter, owner

The Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans dates from 1118. It was home to Benedictine monks who lived in the priory and cultivated grapes for wine on the estate. This property once belonged to the abbey of Saint André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon during that timeframe. Winemaking has been occurring on the 12-hectare property since the 12th century. The Château was also a silkworm farm during the French Revolution. A Romanesque chapel constructed in stone from nearby Rognes is also part of the Château Saint Pierre de Mejans structures.
