Le Mas de Puyvert is on the grounds of Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans, a 12th-century château and vineyard. This farmhouse (mas in Provencal) has four comfortable bedrooms, making it a terrific holiday base for exploring the Luberon Valley and beyond with family or friends.

The Farmhouse:

The Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans estate includes vineyards, olive orchards, lavender fields and a private farmhouse – Mas de Puyvert, with four (4) bedrooms. Completely private, this home comfortably accommodates 6-8 people for a restful stay in the Provencal countryside. The home design is suitable for groups of friends travelling together or families with enough privacy and comfortable common areas.

Mas de Puyvert is fully renovated with four bedrooms with three ensuite bathrooms, a swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen and all amenities to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Your group will enjoy the pool and outdoor terrace during the warmer months.

The Property and Area:

Located between Lauris and Louramarin, Puyvert is a small village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves at the base of the Luberon massif not far from the Durance River. Despite its small size, the town has a 12th-century castle, Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans, and an impressive dovecote (pigeonnier) with 3,000 terracotta nests (boulins). While Puyvert has some notable historical sites, it is also a terrific base for outdoor enthusiasts with plenty of hiking and cycling options.

The Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans dates back to 1118, when the Benedictine monks lived and cultivated wine on the estate. The priory belonged to the abbey of Saint André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon at that time. While winemaking has occurred on the 12-hectare property since the 12th century, the Château was also a silkworm farm around the time of the French Revolution.

Whether you want to explore the perched villages of the Luberon or venture to one of the famous cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, or Arles, all are day trip options from Mas de Puyvert. After a day spent sightseeing, enjoy the private pool and comfortable furnishings of your farmhouse in Provence.

This is a wonderful house situated in a beautiful vineyard very near Lourmarin. The house is exactly as represented and is perfect for a family group. Three lovely bedrooms, each with a bathroom, a spacious kitchen and dining area and a large living area. And the pool is very nice, as is the outdoor dining area.
