Description

La Terrasse (La Deck) is aptly named. This townhouse has sweeping views of the Luberon Valley from Saint Martin de Castillon, a hilltop village. This home with one bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms is ideal for couples who want to experience an authentic Provencal lifestyle.

The Townhouse:

Prior to its renovation, La Terrasse was an old barn and animal stable. Today, the bright home has all the modern amenities and beautiful views of the village and the Luberon from every window. This home has distinct spaces on four floors. At the ground level is a fully outfitted kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and coffee maker). There is also a powder room and washer and dryer. One floor up is a comfortable living room salon. On the third floor is a bedroom with a double bed and an armoire, high ceilings with exposed beams and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is also a loft with a sofa bed.

The Village:

Saint Martin de Castillon is a village that retains its old-world Provencal charm. It is in the heart of the agricultural belt and is surrounded by lavender fields and grapevines. The village also has a bistro and a corner store that sells croissants and baguettes. In addition, there is a public park and pool. While the village is small there are four chapels in the town.

Located between the larger towns of Apt (15 km) and Forcalquier, this tiny village is truly unspoilt. Surrounded by nature and the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, it is a great base for anyone who enjoys hiking, road cycling, or mountain biking.

The whole house is accessible for guests’ use, but there are stairs to access parts of the home.

While the owners like pets, they cannot accept them in this holiday rental.
