French Cooking Classes · Learning French · Stephanie Villegas · Taste
We are thrilled to introduce our new and exciting service – Cooking and Conversation classes in my village of Fontvieille in the Alpilles.

French Language Cooking Classes:
In collaboration with Catherine, a certified French teacher with over 25 years of experience, our two-hour class provides a unique blend of culinary techniques and language acquisition. It’s an immersive experience where you can enhance your cooking skills while delving into the richness of the French language. The classes are hands-on, but as it’s only two (2) hours, much preparation will be done beforehand. Our time together hours includes tasting and eating, sharing bites and plates of prepared dishes.

What You Can Expect:
Culinary Delights: Immerse yourself in delicious flavours as you learn and create dishes inspired by this picturesque region and its produce.
Vocabulary Expansion: Enhance your French vocabulary with practical, kitchen-related terms. Our experienced French teacher will guide you through language exercises, making learning enjoyable and effective.
Phrases for the Kitchen: Master useful phrases and expressions essential for cooking in French. You’ll confidently converse in French, from basic instructions to nuanced culinary discussions.
Take-Home Recipes: Each class concludes with recipes for the dishes prepared during the session. This way, you can recreate delicious dishes in the comfort of your kitchen.

Past class menus have featured mouthwatering items, including:
Handmade Fresh Pastas and Accompaniments
Knife Skills and Soupe au Pistou
Fish Filleting and Preparation in Three Ways
Seasonal Salads: Warm and Cold Salades Composées with Homemade Vinaigrettes
You are welcome to request other menu ideas. However, approval is subject to ingredient availability and time restraints as this is a two (2) hour class.
Our goal is to provide participants with an unforgettable experience where they learn valuable culinary skills and immerse themselves in the beauty of the French language. We look forward to welcoming you to our Cooking and Conversation class and sharing the joy of Provençal cuisine and culture.
