For Cooks! Exquisite Premium Olive Oil and Vinegars from a Provence Wine Estate

Carolyne Kauser-Abbott · Local Food Producers · Taste

Celebrated for its breathtaking scenery and rich legacy, the Château d’Estoublon is in the heart of Provence’s Alpilles. Surrounded by fragrant lavender fields and sun-drenched vineyards, the estate crafts premium wines, olive oils, and flavoured vinegars, all infused with a passion for quality and time-honoured tradition.

Estate History

The elegant Château d’Estoublon was built in 1690 and received its name in the early 18th century. Records from the Middle Ages mention a large structure, “le Grand Mas.” The castle and farmland were part of the Seigneurie du Mont Paon under the Counts of Les Baux until 1426. The property changed hands several times before the original buildings were destroyed by Protestant troops in 1561.

Premium Olive Oil

At the heart of this estate’s offering is its premium olive oil, revered for its exceptional quality and taste. The oil is crafted from a carefully curated selection of olive varieties, each chosen for its character and depth of flavour. Picholine, Salonenque, Bouteillan, and Beruguette olive varieties are carefully selected for these oils. Cultivated using age-old techniques and sustainable practices, the olives are handpicked and cold-pressed to retain their natural richness.
