You’ve got Mail
Who doesn’t like getting a beautiful package in the mail?
Some gift boxes provide clues about their contents. There is the telltale cardboard shape of a book from Amazon or Barnes and Noble. At Tiffany & Co, their packages in Tiffany Blue – Pantone 1837 (trademarked) tied with white ribbon are sure to contain something sparkling. The Hermès bright orange (potiron) box with its brown accents is a perfect fit for one of the brand’s carrés – silk scarves. However, what seems like a classic was the result of a supplier’s cardboard shortage (here’s the story).

Surprises inside
Other boxes are filled with secrets, but hurry!
One example is the My Stylish French Box, which contains a curated collection of beautiful – Made in France – products. This subscription gift-box concept launched in February 2017 and has sold out ever since. The company’s visionary is none other than the talented Sharon Santoni. Read more about Sharon Santoni and the backstory on this concept here.

Shipped quarterly, the theme for “My Stylish French Box” changes with the seasons. In August (2018) the motif was – La Cuisine. The end-of-summer package contained small-batch French artisanal products including a copper candle from Maison Hypsoé and a delicious chocolate fondant cake from Marlette in Paris to mix up in a pretty ceramic mixing bowl.
Tiny hint for the November box – Something by Petrusse a creator of women’s stoles and scarves in Bordeaux will be included.

Of course, receiving a beautiful package in the mail is lovely, but the team at My Stylish French Box asks recipients to keep the contents a secret until all the boxes have reached their destinations around the world. Then, it’s time for the big reveal and the @mystylishfrenchbox Instagram feed fills with images of the gorgeous French home décor and beauty products.
