Description

Au Coin des Amis is a gem of a village home in Rustrel, a quiet Luberon Valley town. Dating from the 1700s, this fully-restored three (3)-bedroom house is just this side of heaven.

The House:

Provencal charm and architectural detail throughout this special home are artfully blended with modern and stylish finishes throughout the bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces. The 190 sqm / 2,000 sqft home was previously owned and elegantly and meticulously restored by an antiquarian.

This village house has three (3) luxurious bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms offer plenty of privacy and breathtaking views of the famous wine-producing Luberon Valley.

Attention has been given to interior design, and each room is beautifully appointed. Ancient wood ceiling beams, Provencal doors and soothing neutral decor are combined with modern amenities. Enjoy a glass of wine on the rooftop terrace at sunset. Or host an intimate soiree in the restored private stone wine cellar!

What their guests say:

“Wow!! This townhouse in a quintessentially French village, Rustrel, has been painstakingly renovated. Modern conveniences abound without disturbing original features like rustic ceiling beams, a thick stone mantle, and a gorgeous wine cave to name a few. The very nice photos match the reality. Beth and her property manager Jen both reached out with detailed information before our arrival. Beth even provided a step by step guide to the area which was surprisingly helpful for us seasoned travelers. This “handbook” included many sites and restaurants we should try. Each time we followed Beth’s suggestions our expectations were exceeded. When any of us return to Provence we will keep our fingers crossed that this home is available.” ~ Anthony, September 2023

“This was far and away the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Stylish, comfortable, and every detail was considered. The home is beautiful, the kitchen and baths are very well stocked, and the host provides tons of information to enjoy the surrounding area. I cannot recommend this place more highly.” ~ Laura, January 2022

“We had a great stay at Au Coin Des Amis. The house is traditional and beautiful in a delightful sleepy small village. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and it is very clear that you are staying in Beth’s much loved private home with the privilege of enjoying everything about it. We loved taking time to notice and appreciate all the little touches. Very quickly it feels like home as you become immersed into ‘living like a local’! The location is fabulous for getting around the Luberon Valley and within an hours drive you can tick off many of the main attractions of the area. Do not hesitate to book a stay in this fabulous house, you will have a wonderful holiday. Brilliant communication and ideas for holiday planning before your stay too!” ~ Victoria, July 2022

“Couldn’t have been better! All steps of renting this house went very smooth, everything from booking, information leading up to arrival, check-in etc. Everything felt very well planned and professional and at the same time personal and friendly. The house was lovely and all according to the pictures! Upon arrival beds were made, towels put out and the house had all necessities for our stay. We received a great booklet/guide from the owner with detailed information about the house and stay, as well as a lot of tips for the village and surroundings, which was excellent to have access to! I️ 100% recommend a stay here.” ~ Sophie, July 2022

“La Maison au coin des Amis is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the two bathrooms are great as well. The small roof terrace with gas bbq is great for lounging in the evenings and to watch the sun set. Although there is no airco in the house, the thick walls, combined with the fans, the windows and the occasional Mistral winds, kept the house cool enough. The house is well situated in a very nice rustic little village in a very nice area of the Provence, where there is plenty to do and to see. Beth as owner, and the representatives of the local management company, are very responsive and helpful. They sure make you feel at home. The guidebook which Beth has made is worth a million. It was of more use than our own guidebook. Highly recommended.” ~ Huib, August 2020

This is indeed a very special place, and our whole family loved the time we spent there. The house itself is a model of sensitive, professional historic restoration, done with restraint and flair. It is well-appointed with all the modern conveniences but without obscuring the feel and ambience of a centuries-old village house. Rustrel is similarly unspoiled by modernity, a friendly sun-drenched corner of Provence that is quiet but centrally located and home to what must be the best artisanal boulangerie in Southern France! ~ James
