Description

L’Oréliane en Provence is a 5-bedroom Bed and Breakfast (B&B) located in Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne, Vaucluse. The owners of this maison d’hôte welcome visitors into their guesthouse all year round. This comfortable B&B is a terrific location for exploring the famous nearby villages of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse, as well as larger centers such as Avignon and Orange.

The Bed and Breakfast Rooms:

Located in Provence’s Southern Rhône Valley wine country, l’Oréliane has been the home of a winemaking family for over 60 years. The house was renovated in 2013 to accommodate guests with comfortable furnishings and contemporary necessities such as WiFi, AC and toiletries. Respecting the strong connection to the wine industry, each room has a slightly different decor named after grape varieties: Alphonse, Angevine, Cardinal, Lavallée, and Muscadine. Each room features a walk-in shower or bath, as well as towels (for both bath and pool use) for your stay.

Muscadine and Livaline are both located on the ground floor, offering rooms with king-size beds. For a romantic occasion, book Livaline with its private whirlpool bath. Alphonse, Angevine and Cardinal are all located on the first floor; each has a slightly different layout and comfortable furnishings.

Since breakfast is the best part of staying at a B&B, at l’Oréliane en Provence, there is a generous spread each morning. Breakfast is served in the dining room or the garden, depending on the weather. Enjoy local products, including fresh bread, pastries, cakes, dried fruit, seasonal fruit salad, cereals, cheese, yogurt, and homemade jams, while you decide on your program for the day.

There are three (3) restaurants with different menus, less than 300 metres from L’Oréliane en Provence, for dining out nearby. Alternatively, order an appetizer platter, “assiette gourmande” for two (2) with fresh or toasted bread, savoury biscuits, olives and nuts, a selection of cheeses, charcuterie, and crudité of seasonal vegetables with tapenade or anchovy dip. Available daily, pre-ordering is required.

The Property and Area:

There is plenty of exploring to keep you busy during your stay at l’Oréliane. However, if you need a quiet, rejuvenating holiday, the pool and jacuzzi are at your disposal, or consider booking a massage or reflexology session.

The village of Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne is situated on a slight hill, offering views of Mont Ventoux and the Southern Rhône Valley. It is a delightful town, a village with some sections of the 12th and 14th-century ramparts. Perhaps the best thing about Châteauneuf de Gadagne is its proximity to regional highlights, such as the vineyards, Mont Ventoux, and the Sorgue River, while remaining relatively undiscovered.

What their guests say:

What an idyllic place, Christine and her husband were fantastic hosts, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, ours backed right on to the pool area, its so quiet and the perfect spot to enjoy the sun and relax with a glass of rose from the fridge. Breakfast in the courtyard is a great way to start the day with homemade jams, fruit, pastries, bread and cheese. Delighted we found this place and will be back. ~ Martin 2023

Christine and Dominique have a beautiful home and are very gracious hosts! The rooms and the grounds are lovely and accommodating, and the breakfasts were delicious. Access to the property is a little confusing, as the street access is off of a parking lot and hard to see, but once figured out no problem. Centrally located with a short drive to Avignon and Pont du Gard as well as Luberon villages and wine country! Had a wonderful visit and would recommend L’Oreliane highly! ~ Valerie 2023

Hostess Christine is a lovely person who tries to make all her guests as comfortable and welcome as possible. Every day starts with a fresh, homemade breakfast with enough choices for every taste. Even a warm omelette made by her kind husband. And the day ends in a freshly made bed in a clean and spacious room.
We will be visiting another time. We will miss the cute dog! Au revoir! ~ Sabine 2023
