Located only 15 minutes from the seaside city of Toulon and its beaches on the Mediterranean, Villa Bernice includes three (3) cottages available for holiday rentals. There is an apartment with two bedrooms suitable for four people and two fully equipped studios for two persons. This countryside property is fully gated and has a large garden and pool.

The Holiday Cottages:

Villa Bernice is a countryside property with three (3) fully outfitted apartments (cottages/gîtes). Two of the cottages, Magaud and Méjean, accommodate two (2) people. San Peyre is slightly larger and has two bedrooms, which works well for up to four (4) people. The bedrooms in all three apartments are spacious, with comfortable furnishings and modern necessities.

Cottage 1: Magaud is named after a popular beach, Anse Magaud, that is about a 20-minute walk from the apartment, which is suitable for two (2) adults. A bamboo grove provides privacy and a tropical feel for this self-contained studio. The unit’s kitchen has a fridge, a small induction stove top, a combination microwave/grill oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. The bedroom with a comfortable 160 cm x 200 cm bed overlooks the garden and the swimming pool. A small private courtyard is a lovely place for al fresco meals.

Cottage 2: Méjean is in the garden’s lush greenery and named after a nearby cove where locals like to swim. This ground-level cottage is suitable for two (2) people. It is a self-contained private space with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The living space includes a small dining area and comfortable seating. Fully equipped, the kitchen has a fridge, a small induction stove top, and a combination microwave/grill oven, coffee maker, toaster, and kettle. The bedroom has a comfortable 160 cm x 200 cm bed (convertible into two twin beds), a desk and chair and a rack for storing clothes and shoes. A television is at your disposal.

Cottage 3: San Peyre has a private entrance up a short flight of stairs. This 3-room apartment has a view of the garden and pool and is suitable for four (4) people. The kitchen has a fridge, induction stove top, a combination microwave/grill oven, coffee maker, toaster, and kettle. There are two bedrooms: One with a king-size bed (160 cm x 200 cm) and the other with two single beds (90 cm x 190cm). The bathroom is shared. During your stay at San Peyre, enjoy eating outside in the private garden, where you will find a BBQ. Should you need to do laundry, there is also a washing machine.

The Property:
This countryside property is well-positioned for touring the region or spending a day at the seaside. The Mediterranean beaches, Magaud and Méjan, are less than two kilometres away. La Garde is in the Var department, where vineyards and charming villages await exploring. Your hosts, Beatrice and her husband, lived in San Francisco for several years before returning to their native France. They have enjoyed exploring the region from Villa Bernice and hope that you will, too. Beatrice offers French immersion holidays to those wanting to improve their language skills. Singles and couples. A perfect location for a vacation or remote work.

High Season: July through September 730€ / week (cleaning service included)
Mid Season: April, May, June, October 530€ / week (cleaning service included)
Low Season: November through March 430€ / week (cleaning service included)

Notes:
The cottages are all air-conditioned.

The WIFI internet connection is good quality thanks to a “Google mesh pod.”

Linen sheets, towels, and basic kitchen staples are provided.

There is no need for a car, as there is easy public transportation between Villa Bernice and downtown Toulon. However, parking is available if you rent a car.

If you have allergies, there are two friendly cats on the property.

For those concerned about their carbon footprint – most of Villa Bernice’s electricity comes from solar panels, and the owners offer recycling and composting options.

Since the property has three cottages (gîtes), the owners welcome only couples without children to maintain its relaxing serenity.

Renters and the owners share the swimming pool.
