La Box by L’AUGUSTE Provence a Unique Collection
Carolyne Kauser-Abbott · Inspire · Shopping & Gifts
There is nothing quite like putting a face to a name. L’AUGUSTE Provence founder and brand visionary Stephanie Charvat and I had communicated for months via email, but finally, I had a chance to visit her in Nyons. Buffeted by the Mistral, the golden-yellow trees danced in the wind as I drove through Provence’s Drome, following a tractor pulling its haul of grapes to the local wine cooperative. These stunning countryside tapestries inspire the watercolours that Laure (Stephanie’s business partner) paints for future accessory designs.

Accessories from Provence
L’AUGUSTE Provence produces a range of chic accessories in several sizes. The line includes stylish tote bags for shopping and pouches for storing makeup and essentials. Make travel more enjoyable with a kit consisting of a beauty bag, a lavender sachet and a silk eye mask. In addition, they fabricate beautiful lavender-filled cushions designed for home décor and relaxation. At L’AUGUSTE Provence, showcasing the Provencal countryside always starts with an image. The company’s expertly handcrafted accessories are made in Provence and showcase the region with contemporary watercolour designs.

While we sat in a local café, Stephanie showed me some of their products, including new patterns for their lavender sachets. These sachets include organic lavender (not lavandin) grown in the Drome Provencal close to Nyons. While your first thought might be to put these sachets in a cupboard or drawer, Stephanie explained that the sachets are intended for wellness moments during a busy day.

L’AUGUSTE Provence La Box
I already knew that the L’AUGUSTE Provence accessories are beautiful and expertly crafted, but I was surprised and thrilled when Stephanie pulled out La Box to show me their first collection. This limited collection ships in November, perfect for a Christmas or other gift. La Box includes an apron, a watercolour print, a notebook with a traditional (surprise) recipe and a lavender sachet bien sûr.
