Les Oliviers is a restored Provençal Mas (farmhouse) on the outskirts of Mollégès in the Alpilles. The village retains an authentic feel with cafés, bakeries, and small shops that cater to the town’s residents. This four-bedroom, two-bathroom home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 people. From Les Oliviers, explore the Alpilles villages or enjoy the extensive farm property and private tennis court.

The House:

The owners of Les Oliviers welcome you to a traditional farmhouse complete with local produce and fresh vegetables grown in the kitchen garden (potager). This home is a family- and pet-friendly property, with a private gravelled garden and pool, surrounded by soft landscaping featuring purple sage and lavender. Living outdoors is made easy with a summer kitchen featuring a BBQ, seating, and eating facilities. The Bastide, where L’Olivier sits, has large grounds, an extensive olive grove and a farm. This large property is made safe by being surrounded by a dog-safe fence.

There is so much to do on the property, you may not want to leave Les Oliviers during your holiday in Provence. There is an opportunity to play tennis (or badminton) on a professional-sized tennis court, take a picnic in the olive grove, cycle around the 9-hectare farm path network or take a plunge in the pool by the midnight light.

This spacious home includes a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable salon with a dedicated work space, a TV room, four bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, two with double beds, and one with 2 single beds, and two bathrooms.

The Property and Area:

Les Oliviers is a peaceful home within the extensive grounds of a traditional Provençal Bastide. Les Oliviers, a four-star villa certified by Gites de France, is a conventional Provençal Mas restored with care and love, laid out to offer our guests a truly Provençal respite. Nested in the Provençal countryside, this prime location provides a perfect base to explore the beautiful mountains of Les Alpilles, enjoy St-Rémy de Provence, or plunge into the Provençal markets in Eygalières or Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. A professional-size synthetic grass tennis court with rackets provided is available 24h/7.

The exteriors are equipped for a living outdoors made easy, with a relaxing eating area, a sofa and comfortable chairs, an eating table and chairs, a gas Weber BBQ, a fridge, and a food preparation space. Sunloungers with parasols and sitting spaces surround the pool.

Established in 2007, the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles covers the mountain range and its flanks. As a protected natural area, it has restrictions on construction and park use. However, the artifacts from human settlements discovered in these hills date back to the Neolithic era, and the range is the result of millions of years of continuous geological evolution. The Alpilles run from east to west for 25 km, starting at the edge of the Durance River and the town of Orgon, and extending to the far end near Fontvielle. Although the Alpilles do not boast significant altitude, the maximum height is 498 metres. They are dramatic. However, the rugged limestone peaks make these hills appear much higher than the numbers suggest. Try hiking in the area, and you will be thankful there isn’t any more vertical to climb.
