Description

Chez Manon is a 5-bedroom country home in the Luberon Valley. The 18th-century farmhouse (French “mas”) has been restored to reflect its provençal origins while incorporating modern comforts. It has a large, heated salt-water pool, professionally landscaped grounds, well-equipped open-plan living and five (5) comfortable bedrooms.

The House:

The layout of Chez Manon lends itself perfectly to family holidays. There is plenty of open-plan space for everyone to get together and several smaller, cozy areas if you need some quiet time. The ground floor is centred around a spacious living, dining and kitchen area. The living area has large, comfy sofas around an open wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has a central island and everything you need to prepare a feast. There’s also a second living room with a TV and stereo and a second fireplace.

Upstairs, there are five good-sized bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 people. There are three bedrooms with queen-size beds (150-160cm), two of which are larger bedrooms, and these have en-suite shower rooms with sinks. Two further bedrooms have twin beds (90cm wide), which can be converted into king-size beds. All five bedrooms open directly onto the upstairs landing.

In addition to the two en-suite shower rooms, there is a further separate shower room with sink, as well as a separate bathroom with shower over bath and sink, and three separate WCs (two upstairs, one downstairs).

The Property:

The home has terraced areas on three sides, allowing you to enjoy the gardens and the views. At the front of the house is a great view of Mont Ventoux. One patio area is an excellent space for al fresco dining around a large dining table, outdoor sofas and a gas BBQ. The terrace to the rear highlights the gardens, with two smaller dining tables – so you can choose different sides of the house depending on whether you want sun or shade all day long.

The pool is secured with a roller shutter and a fence. There are both sun loungers and classic iron day beds for poolside relaxation. Downstairs in the shade, there is a dart board and ping-pong table. The property has undercover parking for three cars plus secure gated storage for motorbikes or bicycles.

Chez Manon is just two kilometres from Apt, a vibrant market town with bakeries, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and a cinema! The house is at the end of a private driveway, surrounded by its grounds and farmland. It is a tranquil and relaxing place to unwind and a great base to explore Provence.

What their guests say:
“We reserved Chez Manon for a week with a group of friends, to introduce them to The Luberon and it proved to be the perfect home from home. It’s a beautiful house, well set up, with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing stay for 10 people, and views to die for. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the large open-plan living / kitchen area was perfect, with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy suppers together. From watching the sunrise over the rocks of Saignon, with coffee on the front terrace, to watching the sunset along the valley, whilst we had supper, it was perfectly located to explore the villages and sights of the area. The pool is particularly lovely and there are so many little places to sit and chat, play games and simply relax … Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it” ~ Julie – September 2023

“A very comfortable property that is very well equipped for the maximum number of guests that it serves. Everything functioned well and we have no criticisms at all. There are lovely views across the valley and the town of Apt has a large and interesting market on Saturdays. The property is in a very peaceful location. We had a warm welcome and the whole family has enjoyed their holiday here.” ~ Andrew, September 2022

“Beautiful autumn holiday in the Luberon – great accommodation, great facilities, great surroundings. Everything perfect. We will gladly come again.” ~ Claudia, October 2021

“Excellent stay in a wonderful place! The house is as described, large and comfortable, very clean and with everything you need. The setting and the view are incredible. The swimming pool is very much appreciated and safe for the children. The reception and communication were perfect. We recommend!” ~Sonia, August 2021

“Beautiful property in a quiet location, yet close enough to all amenities by car. Very nice view with splendid sunset every evening from the terrace. Spacious, fresh and very well equipped house with a lovely pool. We enjoyed being able to bring our 2 dogs which was a great feature. We will be back with pleasure.” ~ Roch, August 2020

“The house is the result of a renovation of a Provencal farmhouse. The situation is perfect south of Apt, with enough altitude to offer a magnificent view without being overlooked. The view of the Ventoux in the background is splendid. All the villages of the Luberon are a few dozen minutes away. The house is impeccably laid out to leave plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is a pleasure. The swimming pool is clean and well heated. The huge North and South terraces allow you to find the best place to settle down. Finally, the services are provided by professionals during your stay (garden, pool). In short, we can only recommend it!” ~ Raphael, August 2020
