Sur le Toit is a charming 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom vacation rental in Old Town Villefranche-sur-Mer. This 2nd-floor apartment has beautiful views of the bay over the terracotta rooftops to Cap Ferrat in the distance. Fully remodelled, Sur le Toit has all the modern amenities, lovely antiques, colourful art from artists of Villefranche, a gourmet kitchen, and 1.5 bathrooms.

Enter the 600-year-old building and walk up the winding stairwell to the top floor and the apartment’s main room, where you find the living, dining, and kitchen areas. Bathed in sunlight all day, Sur le Toit has four skylights, cathedral ceilings, old wooden beams and exposed stone walls. The building has a lovely position overlooking the bay and the charming pedestrian street Rue de May. It is decorated in a comfortable rustic Provencal style with furnishings that complement the ancient beams and stone walls.

The master bedroom has views of a charming pedestrian street, a premium queen-sized bed, and two large clothes closets. The main bathroom is ensuite to the master bedroom and features a delightful soaking tub/shower, a sink, and plenty of counter space.

Provençal in design, the kitchen is brand new and designed for the ¬gourmet cook, with all the dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and appliances to make lovely meals using the ingredients from the local fishermen and fresh markets nearby. Features include a gas stove, dishwasher, and granite countertops.

The dining area features an antique oak farm table with comfortable chairs. The lounge area has a lovely view of the bay. There is a built-in office from the main room down a wide hallway.

A quick walk to everything from the bakery to the beach, Sur le Toit is near Place de la Paix, which many consider the heart of the village. Rue Volti, named after a famous local artist, is a pedestrian street in the Villefranche where many families live. Shopping local is easy with a butcher, boulangerie and grocery store all nearby.
