About the Women’s Tour
Franco-Canadian Nancy McGee, founder of Absolutely, invites you on an intimate journey to discover her favorite places in Provence during the enchanting lavender season. With knowledge and personal ties to the region she has called home for over 20 years, Nancy will guide you to hidden gems and unforgettable experiences, creating memories to cherish forever. Imagine savoring a leisurely picnic and wine tasting at a family-owned vineyard, exploring the ancient Roman wonders of Arles, and capturing Provence’s breathtaking landscapes in a painting workshop. Picture yourself embarking on a truffle hunt, crafting your own lavender wand, and strolling through local markets.
Behind the Brand
Nancy McGee moved to France more than thirty years ago. A Canadian by birth, Nancy says that growing up in Baie Comeau, Quebec, is ” basically not very far from the North Pole.” In 2011, Nancy used her language degree from Carlton University in Ottawa, Ontario as a stepping-stone to a job as a conference organizer with Data for Development, a UN-funded organization based in Marseille. A corporate restructuring influenced Nancy’s decision to launch a boutique travel company, Absolutely Southern France. Entrepreneurial, dedicated, and personable, Nancy built a solid brand in the small group travel business.
In 2024, Nancy passed the reins to Emma Gély, a passionate traveller living near Bordeaux, France. Emma decided that a career change from nursing was in order. She is fully bilingual and was raised in a French and British family. Emma is now the owner of Tour with Absolutely, where she is expanding the travel destinations and refining the tour offerings.
