Chez Nous is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse apartment on a quiet pedestrian street called Baron de Bres – known as Villefranche’s “garden street.” Located in the heart of Old Town Villefranche-sur-Mer, steps from the waterfront, this holiday rental offers panoramic 180-degree views of the entire bay and Cap Ferrat from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and balcony. The sea appears a stone’s throw away.

Completely remodelled, this beautifully appointed apartment features original art, decorative lighting, and a mix of antiques and modern furnishings. Walk up the beautiful slate stairs to the apartment and its captivating view and cathedral ceilings. Natural light floods the apartment through two large French doors that open onto the balcony.

The master bedroom is in the rear of the apartment, with tall French windows and a cathedral ceiling. Here, you find a large queen-size bed, and for convenient clothes storage, there is a refurbished antique armoire and chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom has a stall shower and a wonderful soaking tub.

When the owners redid the roof, they created a mezzanine with a second bedroom and an ensuite. This intimate yet spacious bedroom features a queen-sized bed that can be split into two twin beds if needed. The ensuite bathroom has a large stall shower, toilet, and douchette.

Designed for someone who loves to cook, the kitchen includes all the utensils and gadgets you would want, plus a dishwasher, microwave, gas stovetop, and oven.

Nearby are a boulangerie, a butcher, a small grocery store, cafés, restaurants, bars, and a pharmacy. Yet Chez Nous is a quiet place to live. Chez Nous is a unique location because no buildings are opposite the apartment. On one side are private gardens filled with beautiful trees, flowers, and birdsong, and on the other, terracotta rooftops cascade to the sea.

Notes:

AC in the master bedroom only. The rest of the apartment does not have AC. However, the temperatures remain agreeable inside Chez Nous, thanks to cross breezes and fans.

It’s a 5-minute walk to the train station and a 5–7-minute walk to the bus, with excellent public transport. There is no need for a car.

WiFi, phone with free long-distance calling

Smart TV with French and English stations, and you can access your subscriptions (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.)

There is also a stereo with a Bluetooth connection and indoor and outdoor speakers.
